Description: A beautiful crisp uncirculated and nicely embossed English one pound banknote. It shows a seated Britannia with lance in her left hand to the left of the front. The back is also green with purple and blue highlights and has the image of a long building in the top center. There are also two vignettes, one to the left and one to the right of the back showing Saint George on his horse slaying the dragon.

The front displays the denomination while the back does not. The banknote has a watermark showing the head of Minerva wearing a head dress within the circle in the bottom center. The note is signed by B.

Catterns the Chief Cashier the Bank of England at the time and has the prefix R74. The note also has no security thread. This particular note has the serial number 568074. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Size: Measures 6" by 3 3/8".
