This is an 1862-63 First Issue 5c Fractional Currency that features a portrait of Thomas Jefferson. It's a unique and Better note with PERFORATED EDGES and No Monogram. Printing of these notes was authorized by Congress in 1862. When these notes were initially printed, they were done so with Perforated Edges, but later versions of the note were cut with scissors. In addition to its unique features, this note has been Certified by PCGS as CHOICE UNCIRCULATED 63!
