Description: A beautiful crisp uncirculated English one pound banknote. This banknote was issued in 1948 and is green in color.
It shows a seated Britannia with lance in her left hand to the left of the front. The back is also green with purple and blue highlights and has the image of a long building in the top center. There are also two vignettes, one to the left and one to the right of the back showing Saint George on his horse slaying the dragon. The front displays the denomination while the back does not. The banknote has a watermark showing the head of Minerva wearing a head dress within the circle in the bottom center. The note is signed by K. Peppiatt the Chief Cashier the Bank of England at the time and has the prefix R52A. The note also has no security thread, this in combination with the prefix, makes this Pick #363d.
